the REALLY tall bamboos we chopped with parangs to make fences and swings :) it took me forever to get one down but some 13 year old boy did it with 3 chops.

onn :) my hero! having luch my the corridoor one afternoon when paveena said "jerine, DON'T MOVE" i turned around, only to find a HUGE mambo jambo dog beside me. so yes, i screamed like madness and onn CARRIED the huge dog away! so sweet la..my knight in shining armour :)

the night we decided to have dinner on our own. it was good :) come to think of it, anything would be actually..especially after days of eating the same food.

outdoor cooking! we got rather grossed out though..i would have thought it better had i not been in the cooking group. so....

...i decided to continue doing my part for the mural instead of cooking :) see the cresent and stars? it was done in near darkness and mostly free-hand because the pencil markings were gone. i'm proud of it. i did a really nice circle free hand on the laos flag too :)
